I look forward to hearing your story and your natural resource goals and objective.

As a Registered Professional Forester, I have spent over 25 years in the forest industry, the majority as a consultant. As is the nature of consulting, I have worked on projects that span across a wide range of forest management. Many of these projects involve managing relationships between government, clients, First Nations and industry to positive outcomes.
Much of my career has included working with small area-based tenure holders such as woodlots and community forests, managing harvest, cut control, reinventory as well as silviculture obligations. In order to manage these tenures, complicated issues must be relayed between the client and government in a manner that is understandable.
I have been working on a multitude of rehabilitation projects. These projects usually focus on linear development rehabilitation such as roads, drill pads, oil and gas infrastructure for specific management objectives such as species at risk habitat restoration. These projects require research, critical thinking and community interaction.
Planting trees of course is a great way to sequester carbon, so plant a tree, plant more than one! The more the better. Trees convert sunlight and carbon dioxide into oxygen and cellulose, or wood. Anything made of wood is sequestering carbon. A house made of wood is a carbon sink as is that antique furniture sitting in second hand stores. The longer wood is utilized before being disposed of, the longer carbon is sequestered.
In almost every part of the world, the dragonfly symbolizes change, transformation, adaptability, and self-realization.
